- Have some idea of the graphic design for the CD as on the average it costs
$65 to $100 per hour for a graphic design company. Even when you have
a preliminary design done, it will usually cost between $200 to $600 for the
front CD cover, back-insert design, and CD label to be completed. If you have a professional looking CD
it is a reflection of the music on the CD. I have seen local bands
that have there CDs for sale in record stores and you would be surprised as
to how many unprofessional CDs there are, and they sit there month after
month, year after year.
